Portrait Photographer Mercury Megaloudis

I think the Images by Megaloudis are similar in concept to what I was going to do with child portraiture - they use backgrounds and dramatic lighting - like the portrait by John Everett Millais 'Bubbles'.

Another photographer that has inspired me to do pet photography is Mercury Megaloudis from Victoria. He recently won AIPP Australian Professional Photographer of the year. I would like to try shooting some animal images using a similar technique. Similar to what I was going to do with the Masters Series, however all could be created in-camera. I would also use textures to add another dimention to the image.
